Your blog has really inspired and helped me get healthier! I love all your natural health post. I would love to get a vita mix, but I'm afraid it's to expensive for me right now. Do you know much about other blenders like the kitchen aid one? If it mixes stuff up very good? I love green smothies and now my husband does too.

Hi Jessi!
Thank you so much for your comment; it is great to hear from you. I completely understand about the Vita Mix blender. It is a wonderful investment, but it is very pricey. We purchased our first one, barely used , on Craigslist, for 1/2 the price of a new one. The main thing, I have learned, to look for when selecting a blender is to get one with as high of a horsepower as possible. The Vita Mix has a 2 peak horsepower, which is actually strong enough to chop wood. It looks like the Kitchen Aid Blender has a .9 hp, which is pretty good for that price. The main tip I have heard from friends who use regular blenders is to finely chop one's greens before blending.I am so glad that you and your husband are enjoying green smoothies. They are so delicious!
