I was thrilled when I heard, a couple of weeks ago, that Grandbaby Duggar arrived. We don't have cable, so I was so excited to see this video of their homebirth. It is so nice to see homebirth to be portrayed in a positive light, in this video! Many blessings!

That made me cry but all births make me cry. : ) Wow an imprompto homebirth. That's awesome!!! Michelle Duggar had a homebirth too with one of the older ones didn't she? I'm not completely sure. We don't have cable either so I didn't even know she was born yet. Thanks for sharing.

All births make me cry, too. ;) (I especially noticed that at my Bradley birthing classes.) I had been told that she had a midwife and a doula there, but it looks like it was just the doula. Michelle Duggar had, I believe 4 homebirths, but then she switched back to an ob. (I believe that is what it said in her book.) I thought this was really well done. I'm sooooo hoping and praying that the next time we get pregnant we can have a homebirth. I wanted to last time ... but just couldn't while we were living in my mother-in-laws house.

How easy and calm it all was! I don't think I'd ever want more than just my family at my births but I think it's great that they manage so well. Seems like they have a wonderful relationship with the film crew.
I've read that the semi-recline position is even worse than being flat on the back when pushing. Squatting in water works the best for me but I know that for many, squatting isn't very comfortable.
I LOVE that they showed a clip of Bradley classes! I learned so much through those classes. Check out You Tube for all 6 segments of this episode. Blessings!
