Epidural Turns Deadly
This story is just too sad! What really saddened me is that 1 out of 20 hospital patients pick up an infection in the hospital. That results in 99,000 deaths a year. The lady in the story probably had an infection on her skin, and it was put into her body when the epidural was put into her spine. It is just so heartbreaking. My dear grandfather (who is now deceased) had an epidural before surgery, and he became paralyzed from it. These are some very powerful reasons to seek other ways to cope with the pain of childbirth.
