Is there Joy in your kitchen?
Last week, my husband ordered for me my new favorite cookbook, Joy in the Kitchen. It is such a blessing to me since it is written by a husband and wife with 4 young daughters. (It seems to suit me much better than the average impersonal cookbook on the market) I have not ceased cooking this past weekend because I am so inspired by this book. Sprinkled amongst its pages are family recipes, bible quotes, and even some fun things to make. Craig and Celeste Welch, the authors, are a tremendous examples of godly living. Their youngest daughter, Valerie Grace , is 2 years old and she has a rare brain tumor. They astound me by their trust in the Lord. I pray that I will never be a "clanging cymbol", as referred to in I Corinthians 13, but that I will be joyful in the kitchen, as well as whenever I accomplish a task.
